Holiday Designs with Swarovski Crystal Elements

It’s hard to believe, but the holiday season is just around the corner. Here at Eureka, with the help of the fabulous Val Hirata, we’ve put together some inspired designs for earrings, charms, pins, bracelets and necklaces that will put you in the holiday mood – Swarovski style!

These designs are easy to make and totally fabulous to wear or give as gifts. Check our website for earring and pin kits which are coming soon to our webstore or to a bead show near you!

Candycanes, angels and large stacks of presents evoke holiday merriment.

Candycane made from alternating Light Siam and Crystal Swarovski 3mm Swarovski Crystal Bicones. Alternate versions could include using White Opal or even Emerald. A base-metal bow completes the look.

The Butterfly Angel is made with a 5mm Swarovski round bead (in this case, Light Rose) and a bell shape 5400 Swarovski bead size 11×10 in crystal, finished with base-metal butterfly wings.

The stack of presents is made using 4, 6 and 8mm Swarovski cube beads in festive colors finished with the same base-metal bow as on the Candycane.

The second angel is made with 5mm round and 9×6 pear shape 5500 Swarovski beads in light rose and base metal angel wings with a base metal spacer for a halo.

More angel designs

Here are some more angel designs using a combination of  base-metal spacers, 5000 6mm round Swarovski beads, base-metal wings in gold or silver, a Swarovski 12mm 5540 artemis bead in crystal and base-metal angel skirts and Czech bell flowers.

A lovely set of earrings

The angels in particular make great charms as you can pick colors to match birthstones for a special personalized touch. One woman told me about the bracelets she makes for grandmothers which have angel charms in the birthstone colors of all of their grandchildren. What a fabulous idea!

These angels made with 6mm Crystal AB Swarovski 5000s and 17mm Swarovski artemis beads in Crystal AB.

Christmas trees in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes

The first tree is a German glass Christmas tree which is available in our seasonal kits.

The others are made with a combination of 6, 8, 10 and 12mm Swarovski margarita beads in colors like Emerald, Fern Green, Peridot, Crystal, Crystal AB, Erinite, Crystal Vitrail Medium and Crystal Verde. They are topped with 4mm Swarovski bicones in Siam or Light Siam or base-metal stars. 4mm Swarovski cubes in crystal copper can be used for tree stumps.

Another variation is using a 12mm artemis bead for the tree.
