Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and are trying to stay cool. Here on the east coast, we are in a major heatwave this week. Lots of sun, hot temps, humidity and storms. It is just so….UGH! Need I say more. So, while I have been trying to cool off, a new bead has come into town and is starting to invade our website. It is a two-hole bead that is 4x2mm and looks exactly like a superduo. It’s like a mini-clone. The beads are called mini Duos™and they are made by Matubo.
Matubo also makes superduos, rullas, super unos, 6/0, 7/0,and 8/0 beads. The mini Duos™ will be featured in all of the same colors as the superduos. These are some really cute beads. If you love superduos you will definitely love the mini version. I can’t wait to get my hands on some and play. As soon as I do, I will be sharing them with you. But, for now, here are some examples of inspiration with the new mini Duos™ to hold you over.

Mini duos are so much fun to play with, am trying them out with some of their older siblings clothes, (I mean patterns, umm, yeah, right, patterns). I have Carolyn Cave’s book, “Beautiful Designs with Twins & SuperDuos”, think some of the designs you can transferMiniDuos for Super
Duos, and instead of size 11* seed beads, I am going to try using 15* seeds. I’m going to give it a try anyways! Won’t hurt to try, I have the beads, so why not?

Love the new mini super duos. Is there a pattern for the ones that are in the shape of a tube (4th picture down)?? I would love to try that pattern.
