Bead Show Tips & Eureka Crystal Beads at Bead Fest Philadelphia

Every year, I look forward to Bead Fest Philadelphia. It is totally mind blowing. There are beads and findings and beads, and more beads. Did I say BEADS?! Yes, so many different colors and shapes and types of beads to look at and go through. For the beader who has never been to a huge bead show, it can be overwhelming. Here are a few tips to get you through Bead Fest or any bead show.

1. Before you go, print out the list of vendors and a map if it is available(One on our website). Pick out which vendors you want to see and map it out. This will help you to not veer off your path. Believe me, you will jump off track but you will find your way back without any issues.

2. If you are going to use a credit card to shop make sure you call your bank and let them know that you are going to a show to shop. All of the vendors are from different states and the bank may think your card has been hacked. So, to avoid any issues give them a call.

3. Take a big bag or a rolling bag with you so that you can store your purchases in them. It really helps if you are purchasing a lot.

4. Take snacks and drinks with you. It is very easy to forget about eating when you are shopping. You don’t want to have your sugar drop and you pass out from it. Eat things with protein in them to keep you fuller longer.

5. Wear light clothing. It gets really hot in the showroom from the lights and the people.

6. And last but not least. Wear comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet for hours. Don’t break in any new shoes at a show.
