Starburst Rivoli Frame Earrings – 2015

These beautiful Starburst Rivoli Frame Earrings are a magnificent addition to any jewelry collection. Both fun and elegant, these earrings can be made using any of our 12 mm Swarovski rivolis as the centerpiece giving you the options to go light and bright such as with Crystal Luminous Green, vibrantly mesmerizing with Crystal Electra 2, classically beautiful with plain Crystal or deep and sophisticated with Emerald Glacier Blue.

To make a Pair of Earrings you will need:

2 12mm Swarovski Rivoli
108 Charlotte seed beads
48 Superduo
6 4mm Swarovski Bicones
6 3mm Swarovski Bicones
2 lengths of about 16-18 inches of Fireline
1 pair of Rivoli setting earrings

To make one earring:

Thread on 12 seed beads and 12 superduos.rivoli beaded frame-02

Tie the thread end together leaving a 3-4 inch tail.rivoli beaded frame-03rivoli beaded frame-04

Step up by going through the second hole of the superduo closest to the knot. Thread on 2 seed beads, go through the next superduo, thread on 3 seed beads and go through the next superduo. Repeat until you have gone all the way around.

Go through the superduo you started with, then though the next 2 seed beads.

Thread on a superduo and go through the next 3 seed beads. Then thread on another superduo and repeat until you have gone all the way around. rivoli beaded frame-08

Step up to the top hole of the new row of superduos.rivoli beaded frame-09 rivoli beaded frame-10

Got through the next superduo, thread on a seed bead and go through the following superduo. Repeat until you have gone all the way around.

Insert rivoli face-down and tighten the thread to enclose the stone.rivoli beaded frame-11

Enbellish the back set of superduo using bicones and seed beads.rivoli-beaded-framedone

Use the remaining thread and tail to weave back through your work and strengthen it.

Now its time to turn this beautifully adorned rivoli into an earring!_MG_5549

Add a little bit of glue into the setting (we used GS Hypo Cement)._MG_5553

Then slide and wiggle the setting in the the back side of the rivoli. Allow it to fully dry.

And there you have it, a finished beautiful sparkly Starburst Rivoli Frame Earring. Make the second one using the same directions as above and you will have a beautiful pair that you can treasure for life or give as a gift!
